Here’s why Lalit Modi removed Sushmita Sen’s mention from Instagram bio

6th September 2022 (New Delhi): Lalit Modi, who founded the Indian Premier League (IPL), has deleted his Instagram profile picture with actress Sushmita Sen. He has also changed his bio to remove Sushmita’s name. Two months before this, the rumours about their relationship were made public and came to an end. The first IPL chairman, Lalit Modi, spoke about his relationship with the former Miss Universe for the first time in July and shared pictures from his vacation with her in the Maldives. 

Soon after, Lalit Modi made his picture with Sushmita Sen his profile picture on the photo-sharing app. He updated his profile and his bio. He wrote: “Founder @iplt20 Indian Premier League-finally starting a new life with my partner in crime. My love, Sushmita Sen (sic). ”

However, on Tuesday morning, Lalit Mod’s Instagram profile had a different profile picture. Sushmita Sen’s name is no longer in the bio. Now it is written-“Founder @ iplt20 Indian Premier League-Moon (sic).”
Meanwhile, in many reports, there was talk of the end of their relationship. Till now, neither Lalit Modi nor Sushmita Sen had paid heed to these rumours.

In July, Lalit Modi had announced about their relationship on social media, with a few photos of him and Sushmita Sen returning from a holiday. He had said, “Just back in london after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families – not to mention my #better looking partner @sushmitasen47 – a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon. In love does not mean marriage YET. BUT ONE THAT BY GODS GRACE WILL HAPPEN. I JUST ANNOUNCED THAT WE ARE TOGETHER”
 
While Sushmita Sen did not repost or share this post on her social media, followed by the massive trolling over the post, she had taken to Instagram to respond to it. She shared a photo on Instagram and captioned it saying, “The so called intellectuals with their idiosyncrasies….the ignorant with their cheap & at times funny gossip. The friends I never had & the acquaintances I’ve never met….all sharing their grand opinions & deep knowledge of my life & character…monetising the ‘Gold Digger’ all the way!!! Ah these geniuses!!! I dig deeper than Gold…and I’ve always (famously) preferred Diamonds!!And yes I still buy them myself!!!”
