Gopal Rai attacks BJP for politicising pollution, urges Delhites to follow 5-point appeal

2nd November 2022 (New Delhi): The pollution crisis in Delhi-NCR is getting deeper. Meanwhile, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai has appealed to people to work from home. Not only this, he appealed to the people, saying that those who were going to the office should share the car or bike. Less vehicles will come out on the road than this.
Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that the pollution level in Delhi has increased in different areas for the last two days. The level of AQI was increased not only in Delhi but in many areas of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. He said that on November 1, Faridabad had 403, Manesar 393, Gurugram 390, Bahadurgarh 400, Sonipat 350, Kaithal 350, Greater Noida 402, Noida 398, and Ghaziabad 381.


BJP did not obey the order of the CAQM: Gopal Rai


Gopal Rai told that yesterday’s inspection was done in Delhi under the anti-dust campaign. During this, it was found that work was going on secretly at L&T’s site. The soil was lying in the open. In Delhi-NCR, the climate is bad


The condition of the climate in Delhi and its surrounding areas is poor. According to SAFAR India air quality service, the average air quality index (AQI) of the capital was recorded at 373 on Wednesday, which falls in the very poor category. Talking about the NCR, the condition of Noida remains worse than Delhi. According to SAFAR, Noida recorded an AQI of 428 on Wednesday, which falls in the serious category. Apart from this, Gurugram recorded an AQI of 364 and, according to the CPCB, the average air quality index of Ghaziabad was recorded at 342.

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai accused the BJP of doing politics over pollution in Delhi and NCR. Delhi’s environment minister said, “Had BJP given Punjab financial help, the cases of stubble burning would not have happened in the state.”

The minister urged the BJP to cooperate in fighting pollution as the Delhi government alone could not curb the pollution that wafts from the adjoining NCR region.

He also appealed to the people of Delhi to send a photo of any ongoing construction work in the state they come across on the Green app.
