Google has issued list of most searched athletes: Names will shock you

The name Virat Kohli needs no introduction in the cricket world. Search engine ‘Google’ released the list of most searched topics in its entire 25 year history. Among these cricketers, Kohli’s name is at the top. That is, ever since Google came into existence, many great cricketers have made waves in the world. Many players including Sachin Tendulkar, Shane Warne, Muttiah Muralitharan, Ricky Ponting, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma are included in this list. However, apart from these, Kohli has emerged as the ‘most searched cricketer’ in the history of Google.

When it comes to the most searched athletes in the list, Kohli is not at the top. Former Real Madrid and Manchester United legend and current captain of Portugal football team Cristiano Ronaldo tops this list. Even at the age of 38, this footballer is performing brilliantly for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nasr.

Ronaldo left behind some great athletes to top this list. These include names like Lionel Messi, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Djokovic. Ronaldo and Messi are considered among the best athletes of their generation and have dominated their sport for almost the last 15 years. When it comes to the most searched sports, ‘football’ is at the top.

Interestingly, Kohli is also a bigger fan of Ronaldo than Messi. The former Indian captain has told in many of his previous interviews that he is impressed by the fitness of the Portuguese footballer. When the Portuguese team was eliminated from the FIFA World Cup 2022 after losing, Ronaldo cried a lot. Kohli then wrote for him on Instagram, ‘No trophy or title can take away or explain what you have done in this game and for sports fans around the world.
