LGBTQ activist Harish Ayer told TOI that the idea only came to fruition because some courageous ones were able to reach out to local LGBTQ community; he further adds that many people in Bhopal had sent him messages, seeking supports from him.
“If a gay pride parade could happen in Lucknow, there was no reason why one couldn’t be organised in Bhopal,” Iyer said.
The parade will start from Van Vihar in Bhopal at 5 pm today and end at Hotel Lake.
