Gautam Adani surpasses Mukesh Ambani in wealth and becomes the richest man of Asia
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Gautam Adani, chairperson of the Adani Group of Companies, has once again become India’s richest person by overtaking Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani. Adani has entered the top 12 in the world rankings, while Ambani is down just one place at 13th. The Adani Group chief has also become the richest person in Asia with the recent increase in his net worth. The ranking of both Adani and Ambani has improved compared to last year. Gautam Adani’s wealth has increased by $7.6 billion in the last 24 hours. Whereas Mukesh Ambani’s wealth is 97 billion dollars. His net worth has increased by $665 million in the last 24 hours.
After the Supreme Court’s decision in the Adani-Hindenburg case on January 3, 2024, the share prices of Gautam Adani’s companies have strengthened rapidly, due to which his net worth is increasing. Describing the investigation being conducted by SEBI in the Adani-Hindenberg case as satisfactory, the Supreme Court has given the market regulator SEBI an additional 3 months to investigate the remaining 2 cases out of a total of 24.
