Former IAS officer Launched India’s first Web Portal – Mind Therapy

17th March 2023 (New Delhi):The prevalence of mental diseases is increasing dramatically worldwide, including in India, and is on the verge of becoming a “global epidemic.” Anxiety and depression are two of the most prevalent health issues. According to a WHO survey, 7.5% of Indians are thought to be affected by a mental illness. According to a Lancet research from February 2020, over 19.7 crore Indians suffered from mental problems, with about 5 crore of those being reported to have depressive disorders and another 4.5 crore to have anxiety disorders. In addition, because mental diseases are stigmatised, only about 40% of persons seek medical attention or therapy. In light of this, former IASofficerconsidered developing a website gateway for managing mental health issues like anxiety, depression, and stress.

The use of holistic medicine in their treatment makes the digital platform special. We are all aware that the allopathic medical system focuses primarily on treating symptoms, and side effects from medications are a common problem. As our mind, body, and spirit are all one, we should approach treating our mental health issues holistically. The website of mind therapyis mergingwith our traditional knowledge of ayurveda, naturopathy, meditation, yoga, and deep breathing exercises with the current medical system, including psychiatry, psychotherapy, and counselling.
Many people are unaware of the type of mental illness they are dealing with. They are aware that their mental health is lacking, but they might not realise what the actual issue is. A free mental health assessment test has been introduced. If someone has any doubts regarding their mental health, they can learn more about their issue in 4-5 minutes. People will only receive an auto reply immediately after completing the questionnaire.
In order to help people become more knowledgeable and enlightened about their mental health, we often host online workshops, webinars, and spiritual talks. These encounters will be very beneficial in helping them understand how to better their mental health and deal with their mental issues. As a support group, the websitehas sympathetic listeners who encourage thought sharing and offer guidance to others.
