Following “Liger”‘s Setbacks, Vijay Deverakonda Discusses The Annoyances Face By First-Time Directorial: “I need them to be fully ready to exploit me”

Renowned South Indian actor Vijay Deverakonda recently starred in his last movie, “Liger.” It was a critical and financial disaster when Liger’22 was released in theatres in August 2022. Vijay Deverakonda is working on getting ready for the release of his next film, Family Star, in which he will appear opposite Mrunal Thakur for the first time.
Vijay Deverakonda wants directors to do homework and study before casting him as the lead. As per the NLC report, the actor isn’t enthusiastic about collaborating with first-time directors. Vijay went on to say that before signing a project, he looks into every aspect of the director. “I need my directors to be fully prepared to exploit me.” Vijay further said he does not wish to work with debutantes. Even if they are only one movie old, he observes their music, editing, and visual storytelling techniques. Their film does not need to be a success. ‘If they are one film old and I like them, I am open to working with anyone’, he concluded with the statement.
Vijay is getting ready for Parasuram Petla’s Family Star, which stars Mrunal Thakur in the lead role. The film, which will feature cameos from Divyansha Kaushik and Rashmika Mandanna, is set to be released on April 5. In addition, he is working on a period action film with director Gowtam Tinnanuri.
