FBI raids Trump’s Florida home for this main reason

9 August, 2022 (New Delhi): Former US President Donald Trump has said that there is an FBI raid at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida. Trump called it prosecutor misconduct. In his statement to the Truth Social Network, Trump said, “This is a dark time for our country because my beautiful Palm Beach home in Florida, Mar-a-Lago, is under FBI raid.” The former president further said, ‘This is prosecution misconduct, weaponization of the justice system and an attack by hardline left Democrats, who do not want me to run for president in 2024.’

At present, the FBI has not confirmed the raid and has not even told why it is. Trump but is under legal scrutiny. The US Department of Justice is investigating an attack by Trump supporters on the US Capitol on January 6. This incident is also the subject of the investigation of the House of Representatives committee. But Attorney General Merrick Garland has not yet pointed a finger at any one criminal. “We have to hold accountable everyone who is criminally responsible for trying to sabotage a legitimate election,” he said. He recently said that no person is above the law.

The Justice Department is primarily investigating the discovery of intelligence on record boxes that were taken to Trump’s Florida residence after he left the White House. In addition, attempts are being made to reverse the 2020 election results in the state of Georgia, while their business activities are being investigated in New York. Trump said after the FBI raid, ‘Despite cooperating with the agencies, they raided my house without informing, which is not right.’
