Due to bad weather condition, flights from Ahmedabad and Mumbai to Delhi diverted.
The pollution situation in Delhi is very bad. The air quality index (AQI) crossed 400 in many areas. The health of the air in the capital is deteriorating. Despite the strictness of the Central and Delhi Government, the air quality is not improving. In such a situation, people are forced to breathe polluted air. On the other hand, two flights of Vistara Airlines have been diverted due to bad weather and low visibility at Delhi Airport.
Vistara Airlines has given this information by posting on social media. The post states that flight UK906 from Ahmedabad to Delhi has been diverted back to Ahmedabad due to bad weather and low visibility at Delhi airport. Apart from this, flight UK954 from Mumbai to Delhi has been diverted to Jaipur.
According to the data of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the number of wind days in the severe category has increased three times in the month of November this year in Delhi as compared to the year 2022. Not only this, the days of very poor category have also increased. There was difficulty in breathing for 26 days. At the same time, the air remained in poor category for four days. This year, there has not been a single day in the month of November when the air was recorded in the normal range. However, there has been a decrease in the number of bad category wind days.
The special thing is that Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) is in force. In such a situation, the functioning of government and administrative claims to deal with air pollution is revealing. According to experts, the reason behind increase in pollution is the decrease in wind speed in Delhi and neighboring states. Apart from this, the number of stubble burning has increased after Diwali. This has increased air pollution.
