Detail analysis of the Modi-Shah bond that took BJP popularity to peak than ever before

The person who never looses is called the ‘Winner’ but the person who converts loose into a win is called Amit Shah. He is the man behind every election campaigning of BJP and the main reason behind PM Modi’s poster boy image of BJP party. From pasting BJP posters on the wall to becoming the party chief. He had been through every critical situation required to uplift the party’s ideology across the nation.

If we talk of his counterpart Narendra Modi. His journey is way more inspiring and full of sufferings. He was the tea seller during his childhood, later joined RSS and then went to the Himalayas to pursue a hermit lifestyle. The golden period of his life started after 2002 when he was appointed Chief Minister of Gujarat but nothing in his life was ever easy. The same year he was accused of Gujarat riots where thousands of people were killed but these riots didn’t harm his public image and he was twice elected as Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2007 and 2012 respectively.

Right after becoming the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he never looked back. He pursued his vision to an extreme next level and Amit Shah played the role of Chanakya in making Narendra Modi the ‘King of India’ (Prime Minister of India). In 2014, BJP won the general election with the full mandate and appointed Narendra Modi as Prime Minister of India. His work period as PM of the country has brought many drastic changes towards the development of the country.

Achievements of Modi government during 2014-2019:

1. Crackdown on Black Money by banning old 500 and 1000 rupee note 8th November 2016: “Three thousand raids were conducted by various agencies and undeclared income to the tune of Rs 73,000 crore was unearthed. Tough rules against black money have sent shivers down the spines of many who have come under one platform,” Modi said in Cuttack. The government also claimed that legislation such as the Black Money (Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assets) and Imposition of Tax Act and the Benami Property Act were brought in to avoid corruption. 
2. Transforming India into Global Growth Income: According to the statistics put out by the Bharatiya Janata Party, India’s GDP growth has seen a stupendous growth of 31 percent as compared to that of the world (four percent) over the past years.
3. Jan-Dhan Yojana: This scheme of PM Modi led government brought the drastic change in the banking system as more than 31 crore Jan-Dhan account was opened at different nationalized banks. This provided the deprived ones to enjoy the banking system of our country.
4. Pradhanmantri Ujjwala Yojana: Under this scheme, more than 3.8 crores Below Poverty Line  (BPL) families were given free LPG connections. 
5. Electrification of Villages: Today, thanks to the successful implementation of the scheme, no village in India is in darkness. Also, the SAUBHAGYA scheme launched by the government ensured that every household is electrified.
6. Sanitizing Facility: Heralding a revolution in sanitization- this was a prime motive of the Modi government when it ascended to power in 2014.  Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, over 7.25 crore toilets were built. During the past four years, the sanitation coverage in the country went up from 38% in 2014 to 83% in 2018.
7. Improved Infrastructure and transport Facility: BJP chief Amit Shah said projects worth lakhs of crores of rupees were implemented “without a scam”. This includes 53,000 km road worth Rs 5.35 lakh crore under the Bharat Mala initiative. The largest tunnel and the largest bridge in the country were built by the Modi government. This project also includes the construction of a Bullet train path and the bullet train.
8. Surgical Strike: One of the biggest and bold steps taken by any government in the past few decades. This was the perfect counter attack conducted by our Indian Army, killing the terrorist in their home ground battle.
9. Better Health Facilities: Ensuring affordable and quality healthcare across the country has been one of the campaign promises of the BJP government. Under Ayushman Bharat scheme, the government intends to provide health insurance of rupees 5 lakhs to 10 crore families. The government also launched Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan scheme to ensure the good health of mother and child.
10. Mudra Yojana: According to this scheme, a person belonging to economically weaker section can take the financial loan of up to rupees 10 lakhs. Till date, as per the claim by Modi government  24748.42 crore Indian rupee has been sanctioned to approximately 6 crore people.

Modi-Shah Bond:

Narendra Modi met Amit Shah for the first time during the 1980s at that time Modi was just RSS campaigner not even an official candidate of BJP and Shah was treasurer for Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Research Centre. Narendra was a keen attendant at Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Research Centre activities and this was the place where the current prime minister of our country Narendra Modi met Amit Shah for the first time. After meeting Shah, Modi was praised by his political strategies and farsightedness. He then introduced Shah to Shankar Singh Vaghela (Gujrat Party President during ’80s).

Shankar Singh Vaghela appointed Amit Shah as bhartiya Janta Party campaigner. After some time RSS also recruited Narendra Modi to BJP. In 1989, Amit Shah was appointed as Party Secretary for Ahmedabad. It was that era when BJP under Lal Krishna Advani leadership decided to initiate Ram Rath Yatra for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. During the Rath Yatra campaign, Amit Shah and Narendra Modi came close to Lal Krishna Advani and were known as Advani camp candidates.

Modi-Shah duo was the main reason behind weakening the strength of Congress in Gujarat. In 1996, Amit Shah was appointed as treasurer for Bhartiya Janta Party Yuva Morcha. After sometime Amit Shah on Modi’s suggestion nominated his candidature in Vidhan Sabha By-Elections and he won. During the initial phase of Vidhan Sabha, Amit Shah was not so communicative and Narendra Modi uses to provoke him to speak and loud his vision in Vidhan Sabha. In fact, Narendra Modi gifted him Swami Vivekanand’s book to improve his level of understanding with a better perspective.

In 2002, Narendra Modi became Chief Minister of Gujarat and Amit Shah was appointed as a strategist of BJP in Gujarat. Since then this duo has taken the BJP’s portfolio to the top level, continuously winning the elections in different states and forming the government.

After Narendra Modi, biggest authority in BJP belongs to party chief Amit Shah. Amit Shah is the mastermind for creating the ground for Narendra Modi before launching him as PM candidate. His efforts and Chanakya tactics strengthen BJP like never before. At present, BJP led alliance NDA is ruling in 18 states that are, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Tamilnadu, Goa, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Sikkim.

Modi-Shah duo has again created a landmark by winning the 2019 General Elections with a full mandate. On 30th May, Narendra Modi will be taking the oath as Prime Minister of India for the second time and there is speculation about Amit Shah that he will be given the charge of Home Ministry.
