Czech Beauty Krystyna Pyszkova Takes the Crown as Miss World 2024

Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic won the Miss World 2024 title on Saturday in a lavish function in Mumbai. At the glamorous final ceremony held here, Poland’s Karolina Bielawska, the reigning Miss World, named her successor. Krystyna works as a model in addition to pursuing dual degrees in Business Administration and Law. The Miss World website notes that she founded the Krystyna Pyszko Foundation and remains actively involved in its initiatives.

Yasmina Zaytoun, a Miss Lebanon, was named the first runner-up, following Pyszkova. Sini Shetty, a 22-year-old representative of India, which hosted the event after 28 years, was in attendance. Shetty, a 2022 Femina Miss India World winner from Mumbai, was not able to advance to the top 4. India’s Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra Jonas (2000), and Manushi Chillar (2017) are the six winners of the esteemed honour. Conducted at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC, Miss World 2024 pageant attracted contestants from 112 countries across the globe.

Actors Kriti Sanon and Pooja Hegde, cricketer Harbhajan Singh, news anchor Rajat Sharma, social worker Amruta Fadnavis. Film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, Vineet Jain, MD of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Limited, Julia Morley, Chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organisation, Jamil Saidi, Strategic Partner & Host – Miss World India. And three previous Miss Worlds, including Chillar, were among the twelve judges on the finale panel.

Filmmaker Karan Johar and former Miss World Megan Young served as the event’s hosts. Tony Kakkar, Neha Kakkar, and Shaan gave powerful performances to get things going. At the event, a video message featuring Chopra Jonas was shown. Emphasising the significance of the Miss World competition tagline, “beauty with purpose.” On the recently released song “Sakal Ban,” the cast of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first web series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Which includes Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh, also performed on stage alongside thirteen fast-track Miss World contenders.
