CBI Turns its barrel towards Kejriwal’s Deputy Sisodia, grills him on corruption charges
Social media is on fire and abuzz with the breaking news of CBI team grilling Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi in connection with Aam Aadmi Party’s ‘Talk to AK’ campaign.
As per some reports, a CBI team today morning reached the house of Manish Sisodia, who is considered as the No 2 leader in AAP after Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to record his statement in a case which was filed last year. The case was related to alleged financial irregularities in AAP’s campaign of “Talk to AK”.
However, CBI sources denied that it was a raid, saying it was merely seeking clarification.
The CBI had in January this year registered a preliminary enquiry (PE) against Manish Sisodia and others in connection with alleged irregularities in AAP government’s social media campaign – Talk to AK.
The CBI had raided Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Principal Secretary’s office in an alleged corruption case, which drew angry reactions from the Chief Minister who accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of using the probe agency to “intimidate” him and his government in 2015.
This is a developing news story. More details still awaited.
