“Bulandshahr: Panic as 10-Foot Crocodile Appears; Locals Carry It on Shoulders to Release in River”
In the town of Pahasu, Bulandshahr, panic erupted when a giant crocodile appeared in the area. Locals initially tried to catch and chase away the 10-foot-long crocodile but were unsuccessful.
Consequently, they informed the forest department and the police. Rangers from the forest department and police officers quickly arrived at the scene. After about three hours of intense effort, the crocodile was finally captured, bringing relief to the residents.
The police reported that the crocodile had come from a nearby river that flows close to the colony. The incident occurred in the densely populated area of Ashok Nagar in Pahasu town, where a giant crocodile was spotted the previous night.
This caused a commotion throughout the neighborhood, with locals gathering and attempting to capture the crocodile. However, the 10-foot length of the crocodile made it too daunting for anyone to tackle alone. It was then decided to alert the police and forest department.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (Rural) BB Chaurasia explained, “It was a 10-foot giant crocodile. The forest department team managed to capture it after three hours of strenuous effort.”
Once the forest officials had restrained the crocodile by tying its limbs, the locals carried it on their shoulders and released it in a safe location. Villagers mentioned that the crocodile had likely come from a drain connected to the Kali River, entering the residential area.
