Recently, the makers of ‘Yaariyan 2’ had released the song ‘Saure Ghar’ from the film. After the release of this song, clouds of controversies started hovering over the film. Sikh organization Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) objected to some scenes of the song. They said that in some scenes, the Sikh Kakkar Kirpan (a symbol of the Sikh faith) has been used by the actor in an objectionable manner. ‘Yaariyan 2’ directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru issued a statement and said that Meezaan was wearing Khukri and not a kirpan.
