Well, if all the travel ban nonsense wasn’t enough a new media report circulates that the son of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali was detained in Florida airport and was questioned by Immigration official.
Lawyer of Muhammad Ali Jr. Chris Mancini tells the media in Louisville, Kentucky that 44-year-old Ali and his mother and second wife of Boxing legend Khalilah Camacho-Ali arrived at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Feb. 7 after returning from Jamaica.
According to Ali Jr.’s lawyer, officials questioned Ali Jr. for more than two hours, repeatedly asking him racist questions like, “Where did you get your name from?” and “Are you Muslim?”
Mancini says officials continued their questions even after knowing that he is Muhammad Ali’s son. Ali Jr. was born in Philadelphia and holds U.S citizenship as well.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (U.S.C.B.P) official said that “cannot discuss individual travellers; however, all international travellers arriving in the U.S. are subject to CBP inspection.”
