Bengaluru: 20-Year-Old Woman Found Dead at Home with Neck and Wrist Slit Marks
A 20-year-old woman was found dead in the bathroom of her home in Bengaluru yesterday, with slit marks on her neck and the wrist of her left hand, according to police reports.
The tragic discovery was made in the evening when the woman’s brother, after repeatedly knocking on the bathroom door without receiving a response, broke it down to find her lifeless body on the floor.
Police revealed that a suicide note was found at the scene, but the woman’s mother vehemently denies the possibility of suicide.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South S. Lokesh Jagalsar, the incident occurred around 7:30 PM under suspicious circumstances, with initial information indicating that she died from blood loss due to cuts on her hand and neck.
The police are currently investigating the case from all possible angles and are awaiting the post-mortem report to determine whether it was a case of suicide or murder.
The woman’s mother, a social activist, is devastated by the loss and insists her daughter, known for her courage and openness, could not have taken her own life.
She suspects foul play, suggesting that someone with a grudge might be responsible, and is determined to seek justice for her daughter, describing her as a brave girl who faced challenges head-on.
