Another Nirbhaya incidence in Delhi: a 34-year old social worker gangraped—Know More

Vasant Vihar Nirbhaya case has been repeated again in Delhi. A girl working for women and the poor at ITO, a few meters away from the old headquarters of Delhi Police, was gang-raped by three criminals. After that, the auto driver took her to Gandhi Smriti service road near Rajghat and raped her in the auto. The girl’s mental balance deteriorated due to repeated rape. This girl (34) is from Odisha and reached Sarai Kalekhan while walking from Rajghat in a semi-nude state. Blood kept flowing from the girl’s private parts, but none of the thousands of vehicles passing by on the Ring Road took pity on her. This incident took place around 9.30 pm on the nights of 10th and 11th October.

Seeing the girl at Sarai Kalekhan, a Navy officer informed the police. Delhi Police officials said that if the Navy officers had not informed the police, the girl could have died. The girl’s private parts were operated on in AIIMS. Due to severe shock, the girl is currently admitted to the psychiatric department of AIIMS.

After about 21 days of hard work, the South-East District Police has arrested three accused: auto driver Prabhu, scrap shop worker Pramod, and Shamshul Lagada.

South-East District Police Deputy Commissioner Ravi Kumar Singh has confirmed the arrest of the accused. After the arrest of the accused, the brutality inflicted on the victim girl has come to light. To catch the accused, female constable Sangeeta met the victim, posing as a social worker. After that, the victim narrated the brutality that happened to her. ACP Aishwarya Singh had made it her aim to provide justice to the victim. Police have recovered the blood-stained salwar of the victim from the service road of Gandhi Smriti. The auto of accused Prabhu has also been recovered.
