After Sarabjit, Randeep Hooda Is On Board With His First Directorial Debut

Swatantra Veer Savarkar is one of the most awaited blockbusters, to be released on March 22. This is a biopic, that personifies the freedom fighter, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar’s essence. On the grounds of this film, the film is under the directorial lead by Randeep Hooda. Besides, this film features other tinsel town stars like Ankita Lokhandey.
Randeep Hooda’s disclosed on his first debut
After recreating the characters like Sarabjit, and Highways, Hooda is ready to roll on the Veer Savarkar script. Since childhood, Randeep was always curious to know about independence and the characters, who were involved in giving the Indepency to India. He became acquainted with Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the freedom fighter and reformer. He spent most of his childhood learning about South Asian revolutionaries and freedom fighters while growing up in Chennai. VD Savarkar was his inspiration back then, what intrigued him the most was that his ideas were different from those of most of the revolutionary combatants. And this observation was his biggest learning from his schooling. Since then he decided to make a movie and to recreate Vinayak Damodar Sarvakar, once he reached the peak of his cinematic career.
The main turning points in Savarkar’s life are emphasized in the film. His encounters with Mahatma Gandhi, his abortive attempt to arrange an escape to seek safety in France, his life sentence in the Andaman Islands, also known as Kaala Paani, his conversion while incarcerated, his transfer from the Andaman jail to Ratnagiri jail, and his eventual release are among them. The movie also provides insight into his life following his release from prison and his political career.

The revelation of her character via a poster on Social media created a buzz among netizens. Impacted by this, Ankita revealed. Ankita is one of the eminent ladies of the film industry, she is now all set to play the role of ‘Yamunabai’, the wife of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in Swatantrya Veer Sarvakar. The poster shows how Ankita is floating into the character of the Yamunabai. Regarding the performances, the supporting actors gave excellent performances as well, though we have already talked about Randeep’s. Every time Ganesh Damodar Savarkar entered the frame, Amit Sial held the screen. Russell Geoffrey Banks, a British actor, also makes you shift in your seat with his version of the awful David Barry.
Swatantra Veer Savarkar is one of the better patriotic films Bollywood has released in recent years, amidst a sea of them.
