AAP Unveils Lok Sabha Candidates for Delhi and Haryana

On Tuesday, the former known Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced four Lok Sabha candidates for Delhi and Haryana three days after it announced a seat-sharing pact with the Congress under which it will contest four of the seven seats in the national capital (New Delhi).

However, Kuldeep Kumar, a legislator from Kondli, will be the party’s candidate for East Delhi Lok Sabha seat whereas, on the other hand Somnath Bharti, who represents Malviya Nagar in the assembly, has been fielded from New Delhi.

AAP has revealed its Lok Sabha candidates for Delhi and Haryana, with Tughlakabad legislator Sahi Ram Pahalwan nominated for the South Delhi seat, while Mahabal Mishra, a former Congress MP, will contest from West Delhi.

In Haryana, former Rajya Sabha member Sushil Kumar Gupta is set to compete for the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat. Sandeep Pathak, an AAP leader, emphasized the candidates’ accessibility and active involvement in their respective areas, with winnability being the primary criterion for selection.

The announcement came following a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal with AAP’s Political Affairs Committee.

Additionally, AAP plans to announce candidates for Punjab soon, and it is also participating in national elections in Gujarat as part of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA).
