The 2025–26 Duleep Trophy started on August 28 but fans are upset because there is no live broadcast or streaming of the matches. The Duleep Trophy is one of India’s oldest and most important domestic cricket tournaments, and every year it gives a platform to many young and upcoming players.
This season, six zonal teams — North, South, East, West, Central and North East — are competing. Big names like Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav and Arshdeep Singh are also part of the squads. But cricket lovers cannot watch any of the matches as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not arranged live coverage. Fans took to social media to express anger calling it shameful and outrageous Some even pointed out that even gully cricket gets live streaming these days The Duleep Trophy is also the curtain-raiser of the Indian domestic season and performances here often play a role in national team selections. Without live coverage fans feel disconnected and worry that talented youngsters will not get the recognition they deserve.
So far BCCI has only provided live score updates on its official platforms. It is still unclear if the semi-finals or the final will be telecast.
