MONSOON SESSION BEGINS – LOK SABHA ADJOURNED TILL 4 P.M

Prime minister Narendra Modi addressed the media about the monsoon session, hoping it to be productive and marked by important and make enhancing decisions. Lok Sabha adjourned till 4 pm, minutes after resuming at 2 pm as opposition party continued to throw slogans and demanded answers to their questions regarding the Pahalgam attacks . Both the houses have adjourned twice since the session began.
As the session began , the house paid tribute to eight former MPs who passed away recently and also to those who were killed in terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22 and in Ahmedabad plane crash on June 12.
63 opposition Members of parliament in Rajya Sabha submit notice for removal of justice Yashwant Verma whereas 123 Lok sabha members submit petition to speaker Om Birla regarding the same. The bills of the Lading Bill , 2025 are being discussed in Rajya Sabha.
Monsoon session will consist of total 21 sittings , spread over 32 days and will conclude on August 21. Both the houses will be adjourned on August 12 and will resemble on August 18 to facilitate the celebrations of Independence day.
Seven pending bills have been listed to be considered and to be passed and eight bills have been listed to be introduced, considered and passing. The bills include : The Manipur Goods and Services Tax bill 2025 . This bill will replace an ordinance. , The Taxation Laws Bill 2025,The Indian Institutes of Management Bill 2025, The Jan Vishvas Bill 2025, The National Sports Governance Bill 2025,The National Anti-doping Bill 2025,The mines and minerals bill 2025, The Geo heritage sites and Georelics bill 2025.
All party meeting was held on July 20 , where the matters related to upcoming monsoon session were discussed and the demand of the opposition to debate on operation sindoor was accepted and a debate on Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in poll bound bihar is yet to be taken a call on.
