65 percent voting done in Karnataka Assembly elections 2023 till 5 PM: Watch Media
Voting in Karnataka assembly elections is going on from 7 am. Here 2614 candidates are in the fray from 224 seats. A large number of people are reaching the polling stations in all the districts of Karnataka since morning to cast their votes. Till 5 pm, 65.69% of votes have been cast.
Violent incidents have taken place at three places during voting in Karnataka. In Basavana Bagewadi taluk of Vijayapura district, angry villagers broke some EVMs and paper ballot machines, police said. They also damaged the vehicles of polling officials. Rumors were rife here that the officials were tampering with the voting by changing the machines.

The second incident took place at the Papaya Garden polling booth in the Padmanabha assembly, where some youths armed with sticks attacked their opponents. Some women who came to vote were also injured in this attack. The third incident took place at Sanjeevarayanakote in Ballari district, where a scuffle broke out between Congress and BJP workers.
