In fresh jibe at Shivpal Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav cautions SP supporters against ‘fake Samajwadis’

Amid continuing internal feud within the Samajwadi Party, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday took a fresh jibe at his uncle Shivpal Yadav, cautioning supporters against “fake Samajwadis”. Addressing party members on the occasion of the 8th state convocation of Samajwadi Party at Ramabai Ambedkar Ground in Lucknow, Akhilesh Yadav asked workers and leaders to realize their responsibilities ahead of the Lok Sabha bypolls in Gorakhpur and Phulpur.

Signaling towards a possible strain in the party’s high ranks, Yadav said, “Beware of ‘banawti’ (fake) Samajwadi. They have tried to stop the Samajwadi movement many times in the past. They succeeded in one conspiracy as a result of which we could not form the government in the state.”

The continuing battle for supremacy between Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav further intensified after the party’s loss at the crucial assembly elections held earlier this year. Days back, ahead of the party’s state and national convention, party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav removed Akhilesh-loyalist Ram Gopal Yadav from the post of the secretary of the Lohia Trust and replaced him with Shivpal Yadav.

However clearing stating his support towards his father Mulayam, Akhilesh said, “I want to say that ‘Netaji’ (Mulayam) is my father and his blessings will always be with me. We will take forward this Andolan (movement).”

Also speaking at the state convocation, Akhilesh hit out at the Modi government, saying, “Development is not the core agenda of BJP, I am sure they will bring some new distraction just before the elections. The BJP government in state and Centre has betrayed farmers by not fulfilling the promises made to them before elections.”

Further criticizing the government over the introduction of the Lucknow Metro, the former UP CM said, “They (BJP) claim that the Lucknow Metro was the dream project of PM Modi. I challenge them to run the Metro in Varanasi at least. The BJP will not run Metro in any of the cities in Uttar Pradesh during their regime.”

The Saturday’s convention by the Samajwadi Party was attended by senior party leaders Ram Gopal Yadav, Azam Khan, Ram Govind Chowdhury and over 15,000 workers from across UP. However, party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and his brother Shivpal were conspicuous by their absence. While the party’s top leaders continue a cold war among themselves, senior leader Naresh Uttam Patel was re-elected as the SP state president on the occasion.

Also speaking at the convention, party leader Azam Khan said, “There were few people who have betrayed us in the past, and it is because of them that the ruling party came to power. I would also

request all of you to maintain brotherhood as people in power (BJP) want to spread communal tension before 2019 polls.”

Factionalism takes sting off Yogi Adiyanath Government

The murmur of dissent and dissatisfaction among the Yogi Cabinet members are tumbling out in public domain thick and fast over the manner the Chief Minister is taking all decisions himself without consulting any ministers or giving them importance. While the newly elected Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath is going the whole hog to outshine any challenges coming from party disgruntled lot the Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya is feeling rather ignored and out of place in the present scheme of things. Winning state polls as BJP Pradesh President and an OBC face of the party, K P Maurya was a strong contender for the top slot and is feeling neglected and sidelined as the party insiders reveal that he may be sent to Centre to contain factionalism within the party.

Uttar Pradesh politics is rife with the speculation that K P Maurya has opposed to the move of sending him at Centre as he believes if he goes to Delhi he will be rendered irrelevant in the state politics. Secondly, he has consolidated his base as a factional leader who listens and sympathises with the dissenting voices against the Chief Minister’s high handiness. If sources are to be believed indications are that the Deputy CM has created a base of over 200 MLAs who support him for the cause of countering Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s behaviour towards party members.

According to top party sources, dissentient has reached to such level that the party General Secretary Sunil Bansal has brought the issue to BJP President Amit Shah to solve the containment among party brass. As per party strategy, K P Maurya will not vacate his Parliamentary seat Phulpur to be grabbed by BSP Supremo Mayawati, who is eying seat after resigning from Rajya Sabha. Party thinks by calling Maurya to Centre will fix both the vexing issues in one go. The move will quell the dissentient and factionalism in the state BJP and it will stall Mayawati’s chances of contesting from Phulpur if she so desires.

Both Yogi and Maurya are expected to vacate their seats as the Member of Parliament (MP) from Gorakhpur and Phulpur, respectively, to continue their terms in the state. With the conclusion of the Presidential elections and Ram Nath Kovind takes office as the President, the Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah is now focusing more on Uttar Pradesh where Adityanath and Maurya are set to face poll battles once again.

There have been widespread speculations that the BSP supremo might attempt to regain entry in the House by contesting the by-poll with a rare opposition alliance with Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress. However, BJP has refuted any such possibilities and has stated that there are no reasons for the saffron party to be concerned of, as the chances of Mayawati contesting the elections are very less. Senior party leaders claimed that while Mayawati always chooses to contest from a safe seat, she won’t be risking fighting from one of BJP’s stronghold, losing which might take her into political oblivion.

Over possibilities that the BJP might offer a ministerial berth to K P Maurya at the Centre and ask him to retain his seat as the MP from Phulpur, party Chief Amit Shah ruled out any chances of moving Maurya to Delhi. Stating all such claims as media speculations, Shah claimed that the Deputy CM will soon be relieved of his duties as the state President and will be allowed to work free from party responsibilities.

Why PM Narendra Modi Met With Samajwadi Party Biggies Ramgopal Yadav And Naresh Agrawal?

On Wednesday evening, as the country was gripped by an intense political drama caused by Nitish Kumar’s shock resignation playing out on TV, Delhi’s Ashoka hotel was the scene of much mirth and back slapping.

The occasion: a party to celebrate Samajwadi Party biggie Ram Gopal Yadav’s 25 years in parliament and thrown by senior leader Naresh Agarwal. And present were the who’s who in the capital led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As parties go, it couldn’t have been more lustrous. Present along with PM were senior cabinet ministers, notably Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, former PM Manmohan Singh and an array of opposition luminaries.

Conspicuously absent though were members of the extended Yadav clan. While Bihar strongman Lalu Yadav was smarting from being dumped by one-time friend-turned-foe-turned –friend Kumar and predictably could not attend the party, neither did Ram Gopal Yadav’s nephew Akhilesh Yadav nor his cousin brothers Mulayam or Shivpal.

People at the party told Power Circuit that Modi, who came in around 8 pm (while the Nitish drama was being played out in full force) and was there for more than an hour amid dinner, was in great mood laughing and posing for selfies & pictures.

After why not.. Just a few hours before, he had engineered the biggest Ghar Wapsi of all times: the return of Nitish Kumar to the NDA fold that has left an already beleaguered opposition completely rudderless.

SP Leader Azam Khan on radar, Yogi orders CBI probe into Waqf Board Scam

Lucknow, June 16, 2017: In a swift action, hours after the UP government ordered the dissolution of Shia and Sunni Waqf boards, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday night recommended a probe by the CBI into the alleged irregularities worth multi-crores committed by these two bodies in the state.

The Waqf boards have been facing serious charges of corruption related to management of properties and this was confirmed by the probe conducted by Waqf Council of India.

Taking cognisance of a Central Waqf Council (CWC) report, the state government has a CBI probe into the alleged scam and “misuse of office” by the then Samajwadi Party Minister Azam Khan and officials of both boards.

The council in its report elaborated on how Mr Khan as Minister allegedly misused his position to grab properties under the boards.

It said Mr Khan made a trust — Maulana Johar Ali Education Trust — and diverted funds from waqf properties to it.

The report pointed out discrepancies in maintaining rent collection records on Waqf properties.

The report further reveals, “a serious case of misuse of office by Azam Khan, his wife Taseen Fatema, his sons and his main culprit officers.”

The report points out that most of the Waqf are for the poor. “It’s top regulating body i.e UP Sunni Waqf board has failed to help even a single needy out of 3 crores 90 lakh Sunni Muslims in the last 12 years. It failed to frame rules to help widows, divorcees or other such circumstantial destitute humans… it has no proper framework to uplift deteriorating educational level of Sunni Muslims.”

OMG! Biggest News of the year.Akhilesh is joining hands with Mayawati to avoid President’s Rule in UP.. listen what he said

With the exit polls not giving the Samajwadi Party the best of chances in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has said that he is ready for a tie-up with the Bahujan Samaj Party.

In an interview with the BBC, Akhilesh has said that he is ready to tie-up with the BSP if the SP-Congress combine falls short of the majority mark in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections 2017.

Listen the audio here:

The announcement comes as a surprise since the SP and the BSP have been the main competitors in the state for the past 15 years. The SP had tied up with the Congress for the elections.

However, none of the exit polls are giving the SP-Congress alliance the edge in the elections. Most of the exit polls have predicted a big win for the BJP or a neck to neck fight. No party has however been given a huge majority in the exit polls which came out on Wednesday.

This Mother Appealing People Not To Vote For Her Son-in-law

If educational qualification is something to go by then, becoming a politician in India would be nowhere in the list to be seen. It’s a naked truth, out in the public domain, that politicians having coldest of cases against them, and many of them were proved in the court of law, are sitting on the most powerful seat one can have.

It’s not only we failed as a citizen of the country who put them into such a powerful position but also failed our country as well.

The other aspect of getting hold of that power position is to manipulate the investigation against them. In the same list of corrupt, criminal and muscle power politician added another name, Amanmani Tripathi who is contesting elections as an independent candidate from the Maharajgunj district’s Nautanwa town in Uttar Pradesh.

Who is Amanmani Tripathi

Amanmani Tripathi is the son of former UP minister Amarmani Tripathi. Initially, he was given a ticket by Samajwadi Party to contest elections but Uttar Pradesh CM, Akhilesh Yadav, cancelled the ticket and now contesting as an independent candidate.

Amarmani Tripathi with U.P CM Akhilesh Yadav

Why Is Police After Him? What’s The Case Is All About

It all goes back to the 9th May 2003, when the father, Amarmani Tripathi, gunned down the poetess Madhumita Shukla in a farm house with whom he allegedly had an affair. The Post-Mortem report of Madhumita revealed that she was carrying a foetus that matched the DNA of Amarmani, and he and his wife Madhumani Tripathi were sentenced to life imprisonment in October 2007.

Following his father’s footstep, son, Amanmani Tripathi, had also found his way to the police record. His name came into the public forum when he grew suspicion of murdering his own wife, Sara Singh.

What’s The Case?

Amanmani was arrested by the CBI in November for allegedly killing Sara, whom he married in 2013 against his family’s wish.

In 2015 the family members of Sara Singh claimed that Amanmani had killed Sara by creating a scene of a road accident. Their allegations were based on the post-mortem report which suggested that Sara’s lungs and chest bones were damaged before she died.

There were also many injury marks on her body which suggested that he had tortured and killed her before making it look like a road accident.

After Seema had demanded a CBI probe from CM Akhilesh Yadav, the matter was referred to the central agency which took over the probe from UP Police.

The Video Made By Seema Singh

The video that Seema posted went viral on social media. Seema was seen crying and pleading the Nautanwa residents to not vote for Amanmani. She said that it was Amanmani who killed her daughter in Firozabad.

She also claimed that he killed Sara with the help of his father, mother and sisters. She pleaded with everyone to not sympathise with him and his family.

Soon after the video released, it went viral on social media and created a sensation in Nautanwa.

This is not a new incident where people with criminal records have contested in elections and even got elected from their respective constituencies. What is different in this case is that the person in question has not been elected yet.

Ignoring Varun Gandhi, Murli Manohar Joshi like Crowd Pullers is one of many mistakes BJP is doing ahead of UP elections.

As the elections are coming near, it now looks like a three-way battle between Samajwadi Party-Congress Alliance, BJP and Bahujan Samaj Party. Each party has declared its candidates for the election but we can’t do anything but to point out the mistakes of the one party who at one point was looking to win the election by a landslide but now has equal chances to win or lose the election like the other. The party is none other than our Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bhartiya Janta Party.

Mistakes of BJP

Dynasty Politics.
The BJP has given a ticket to former UP Chief Minister (and current Rajasthan Governor) Kalyan Singh’s grandson Sandeep from Atrauli, while his son Rajveer Singh is an MP from Etah. Rajnath Singh’s son gets a ticket from Noida. But the appearance of Friends and Family First in an avowedly anti-dynasty party which takes pride in being cadre-based is supposedly upsetting cadre.

Ignoring Yogi Adityanath Brand.

Shah is anxious about the fire-brand Yogi Adityanath, Eastern UP strongman and mahant (priest) of the Gorakhnath Math (sect), who is furious at being overlooked as a Chief Ministerial candidate and is threatening to act as a spoiler in his area. Adityanath has founded the Hindu Yuva Vahini, which, per a badly printed pamphlet, claims to be a “social, cultural and nationalist group of youth who seek to provide rightist Hindu platform.” The youth group is run like a tight ship and has emerged as a parallel to the BJP and RSS in almost all of Eastern UP. Adityanath, who does not get along with Shah, was personally placated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who announced an AIIMS hospital would be set up in his constituency of Gorakhpur. But the conciliation appears to have worn off. Adityanath spurned the Minister of State rank that he was offered in the last cabinet expansion which would have been a clever way for the party to take him out of the contenders for Chief Minister. He is now not veiled about his desire and wants a say in all tickets in Eastern UP. This is anathema to Shah, who wants to micro-manage ticket distribution.

Where is Varun Gandhi?

Varun Gandhi has had a strained relationship with the party leadership. Mr. Gandhi, the BJP lawmaker from Sultanpur in UP, has not been campaigning in the state, where elections will be held in seven phases starting February 11. He is considered to be popular among the cadres. Hence, he can mobilise the workers. He is young. He turned 36 on March 13. At 33, he was the youngest to become the BJP’s general secretary. But he’s nowhere to be found in the current scenario.

Alliance Of Samajwadi Party, Congress, and Rashtriya Lok Dal.

The Bihar-style Maha Gathbandhan (Grand Alliance) of the Congress, Samajwadi Party, and Ajit Singh’s Rashtriya Lok Dal is also worrying the BJP which assiduously worked via Amar Singh to split the Samajwadi Party. This alliance will ensure a consolidation of the minority vote and that’s never good news for the BJP.

Meanwhile, the party is getting news of anger among the Jats of Western Uttar Pradesh, with Khap after Khap panchayat saying that after the notes ban, they will not vote for the BJP who has done nothing for farmers. Shah has deployed leaders like Sanjeev Balyan and Sangeet Som to camp there and assuage the Jat anger to no avail. The Jats say the BJP has failed to include them in reservation quotas, and now they will make it pay. Demonetisation is the BJP’s big campaign message with Modi highlighting it at rallies, but large swathes of rural UP have no access to electricity, forget digital banking, and the ground reports are not very positive on demonetisation.

Surgical Strike Goodwill has worn off.

Earlier, the BJP had tried to leverage the surgical strikes against Pakistan with posters for the election in Uttar Pradesh bragging of their success, but with cross-border strikes continuing, this was given up. The lack of traction also persuaded the BJP that as an election theme, this was not a winner.

Who is BJP UP Chief Minister Face?

The UP voter is repeatedly asking who is the BJP’s face for the state and Modi, who is set to address a record number of meetings, cannot really be the answer. In fact, the Samajwadi Party has started a whisper campaign of “Modi in Delhi and Akhilesh in UP,” similar to what the Aam Aadmi Party had done in Delhi for the 2015 assembly election.

Though the BJP has currently a clear advantage, it’s lead is nowhere close to what it wants. The entire opposition has only one target: Modi and is closing ranks to take him on. Shah is in the fight of his life and is ensuring that only he and Modi take all decisions. His battle-hardened crack election team is with him, Baba Ramdev and Salman Khan have been roped into campaign, but with voting beginning in just a month, many crucial nuts and bolts are still not in place. And that’s not how Shah likes it.

Akhilesh surprises everyone with new 190 Samajwadi Party candidates list, Heavyweights shunted

Samajwadi Party (SP) releases the first list of 191 seats for UP Polls and decided to field candidates in Ajit Singh’s (RLD) stronghold. Much to a surprise, Akhilesh made everyone surprised with this list.

EC put a seal. Akhilesh Yadav rides on “cycle”. EC put a seal.

As Election Commission has put a seal on Samajwadi Party’s “cycle” symbol, the temperature is sure to rise in the battle for the throne in U.P. EC has decided to support Akhilesh camp, which has more number of supporters in the samajwadi party.

A letter, accessed by News Leak Centre sent by Election Commission sent to Samajwadi Party head says Akhilesh Yadav will retain the cycle symbol of the party.

Earlier today, speculations were also being made that party symbol will be given to Akhilesh Yadav as Mulayam Singh Yadav announce to contest election against his son.

Meanwhile, it is speculated that Mulayam Singh Yadav will contest election from a different party.

NLC Satire: Ignored by both Akhilesh and Mulayam Singh Yadav, One Samajwadi Party leader made himself a party president!

With elections around the corner in UP, and the big chacha-bhatija-papa fight in Samajwadi Party, This new year starts with a bang and the fun will always increase from here. Party supremo Mulayam Singh was the national president or still is at this point we don’t know, state CM and Mulayam’s son Akhilesh Yadav has become the unanimous President.

While several leaders are confused about the whole thing, we too! One SP leader from Eastern UP, is really angry after he saw that his name doesn’t figure in either of the 2 lists of candidates. Ram Kumar has now decided to become a National Party president and will soon issue his own list of SP candidates for the elections.

“I have been with the Samajwadi Party ever since I was born and now I have been ignored so completely by the father-son duo. After I didn’t find a mention in Mulayam Ji’s list, I thought our young leader Akhilesh must be giving me a ticket since I am among the younger politicians, only 65 years old. However, even he forgot to give me the ticket from any seat. Now i have decided i will become a new national president of the party. What do they think, only they can issue lists? I can issue my own list of candidates in which I will figure prominently”, SP leader said.

There’s a discussion in party that from now onwards everyone will become a National Party President.
Meanwhile, CM Akhilesh Yadav was listening to Haanikaarak Bapu song from Dangal and was playing the line ‘Tujhse behtar apni Hindi filmon ke khalnayak hain’ on loop.
