Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran says Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan will ‘end’ dull phase of Bollywood

14 December 2022 (New Delhi): Fans were eager to see Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen for a long time. At the same time, when the actor’s film Pathan was announced, everyone’s enthusiasm increased. But when the first song Besharam Rang from the film, which is slated to release on January 25 next year, has been released, it has come under attack from the Boycott gang. People didn’t like Deepika Padukone’s look in Besharam Rang and are calling the song a copy. At the same time, now Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran has given a statement regarding the film, which is in discussion.


Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran recently participated in a round table discussion with Kamal Haasan, SS Rajamouli, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Swapna Dutt and Lokesh Kanagaraj. During this, he talked about Shahrukh Khan’s Pathan, from which it seems that he is also a fan of Shahrukh Khan. In fact, he feels that Shah Rukh Khan’s film will end Bollywood’s dull phase and end Bollywood’s drought.


 During the discussion when the host quipped about Bollywood’s struggle in pan India blockbusters, Prithviraj interrupts and says ‘It’s just a phase which needs to be followed by a big hit’ Will finish it. At the same time, he also said that there was a time when the people of South were surprised that Bollywood has such a strong hold on the Indian and foreign markets. During this, Sukumaran described Shah Rukh as the savior of Bollywood. ‘It hasn’t been long before we’ve set the table and thought, ‘How are they doing it? How is Hindi cinema cracking it? How have they been able to open up such huge overseas markets? And that’s not too long ago. I’m not talking about the medieval ages. So I believe it is just a phase. There will be a big hit and it is probably Pathan.


Prithviraj Sukumaran is also aware of some of the new films that are about to release and is confident of what the filmmakers are coming up with. They think some of them are really exciting. Prithviraj said, ‘It’s just that a big hit film can be followed by another big hit and it will change the whole story.’ On the work front, Prithviraj will be seen in ‘Salar’ alongside Prabhas. He will also be seen as the villain in Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
