Gujarat Bajrang Dal ‘protests’ against ‘Pathaan’ movie in Ahmedabad mall

5th January 2023 (New Delhi): Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film “Pathan” is embroiled in controversies. After the uproar over the song Besharam, the censor board may have directed changes in several scenes of the film, but this is not calming the anger of the people. On Wednesday evening, dozens of activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal ransacked the mall in Ahmedabad. The workers of both organisations said that they will not allow this film to be released at all, which insults Sanatan Dharma.

Fierce vandalism in the mall of Ahmedabad

A video about this is also going viral on social media. In which it is seen that the workers of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad reach Alpha Mall in Ahmedabad and start vandalising it with huge cutouts of the film installed there. The mall employees are surprised to see the hundreds of workers who have arrived. They try to stop them by explaining, but people do not seem ready to listen to them.

Warned on releasing the film “Pathan”

The anger of Bajrang Dal workers does not stop with this. They crush the photo of Shah Rukh Khan with their feet and raise slogans of “Jai Shri Ram.” Activists allege that Sanatan Dharma is being hurt by making films with a specific agenda. Heavy funding from abroad is also included. They warn the employees of the mall that if they run the show of the Pathan film, they will again have to face the wrath of the people.

The whole controversy started with the song “Besharam Rang.”

The controversy started with the song “Besharam Rang” from the film “Pathan,” starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. A saffron-coloured bikini was used in this song, which is considered an insult to Sanatan Dharma. Along with this, the provocative scenes of Deepika Padukone are also being severely criticized. The Child Welfare Committee of UP says that this kind of provocative dance is having a profound impact on the children. He has advised the DGP of the state to get the songs from this film removed from social media.
