Congress president Sonia Gandhi admitted to hospital due to Covid related complications

June 12, 2022 (New Delhi): Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to the capital’s Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. According to the party, she was facing problems related to covid-19. Congress spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member Randeep Singh Surjewala informed about Sonia’s recruitment. He told in a tweet that Sonia’s condition is stable. At present, she will be kept in the hospital for observation. Sonia Gandhi was found to be covid positive on 2 June. The next day the report of daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also came out positive.

Sonia was meeting with leaders and workers before being covid positive. Some of these people were found to be corona infected. Sonia developed mild fever on the evening of 1 June and showed some symptoms of covid, after which the investigation was done. On examination it was found that she was infected. Party leader KC Venugopal is also corona infected. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted and wished Sonia Gandhi a speedy recovery.
