ITBP BUS FALLS OF BRIDGE: NO WEAPONS FOUND

A bus veered off bridge into the Sindh river at Kullan in Ganderbal district in Jammu and Kashmir. The bus was meant to carry Indo-Tibetan Border Police personnel. The incident happened amid heavy rainfall on Wednesday.

The bus veered off the Kullan bridge and fell in the river. The driver of the bus suffered minor injuries in the mishap and his condition is stated to be now stable . An official said that the bus fell into the Sindhi river at Kullan bridge when the driver was negotiating a curve. He said that the bus was empty when it veered off the bridge. A joint search and rescue operation has been launched by Jammu and Kashmir State Disaster Response Force teams of Ganderbal and Gund regions to retrieve the bus from the river .
The driver of the bus is identified as Waseem Ahmad Dar , son of Ali Mohammad Dar of Ganastan , Sumbal. The driver was taken to PHC Kullan for treatment and now is in stable condition. The bus was ferrying troops but the weapons were not found. They have gone missing after the accident. So far three weapons have been recovered from the river.
