Raveena Tandon Birthday Special: From ‘Mohra To Daman’, have a look at the top 5 films of Raveena Tandon that prove she was the queen of 90s

27 October 2022 (New Delhi): Raveena Tandon’s name will undoubtedly come up while discussing the well-known Bollywood heroines of the 1990s and 2000s.After seeing her in so many classic films from the past, it was difficult to understand why she took such a long break from acting. Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 and Netflix’s Aranyak marked the actress’ most recent returns to mainstream film.


1. Mohra

The suspense-action film Mohra was released in the year 1994. In “Mohra,” Raveena played the role of a journalist named Roma Singh. The movie also starred Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Naseeruddin Shah, Paresh Rawal, and others. 
Mohra will always remain one of Raveena’s finest action works.

2. Andaz Apna Apna Apna

The next on the list is ‘Andaaz Apna Apna’, which was released in the year 1994. It was a popular comedy movie centred around two bungling characters, Amar (Aamir Khan) and Prem (Salman Khan), who belong to middle-class families and want to marry a rich businessman’s daughter, played by Raveena. Along with them, the film also stars Karisma Kapoor and Paresh Rawal. It is also reported that the movie will have a sequel soon.

3.Dilwale 

Third on the list of Raveen Tandon’s memorable roles is the romantic-action film Dilwale. It was a major hit in its era. This superhit film starred Raveena alongside Suniel Shetty and Ajay Devgn. 
The movie was a big one at the box office and was crucial in all the success that followed in the paths of Raveena and Ajay.


4.Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi

The second last on the list is the fun-action movie “Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi”. It was released in the year 1996. The film starred the hit pair of Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon. Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi also featured Rekha as mafia gang leader ‘Maya’, and popular wrestling entertainment celebrity-The Undertaker.

Akshay and Raveena really looked amazing in the film, which is why it’s one of Raveena’s best films yet.

5. Daman: A Marital Violence Victim

You won’t know it, but the movie actually helped Raveena get a National Film Award for Best Actress. 
The movie was directed by Kalpana Lajmi. It revolved around the story of Raveena, who played the role of Durga, a lower-caste woman who is married to a man of ill temper.

The plot is centred around how Durga reclaims her life and saves her daughter.
