Here’s some highlights of Ponniyin Selvan trailer launch

7th September 2022(New Delhi): The grand trailer of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan launched in Chennai last night and it was a star-studded affair. Ponniyin Selvan star Trisha, who plays Princess Kundavai, looked stunning as ever. Sobhita Dhulipala, who stars as Vaanathi in PS1 walked the red carpet in a yellow and gold ensemble, looking pretty as ever. Jayam Ravi, who plays the titular role, arrived the venue in a cream outfit. This movie is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novel Ponniyin Selvan about the power struggle during the Chola rule between ADs 900 and 950. The three main plot points are the ruler Sundara Chozhan and his sons Adithya Karikalan and Arulmozhivarman. The story revolves around the conjuration and struggle of power between the main characters of the plot.

Mani Ratnam’s reaction towards SS Rajamouli

IMAX Corporation and Lyca Productions have set a partnership to bring the film to IMAX screens in India and worldwide on Sept. 30. It will also release in non-IMAX screens on that date in the Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen playing two roles in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan. She will be seen as Nandini and Mandakini Devi in the film. Recently, a BTS of Aishwarya with cinematographer Ravi Varman surfaced on social media. In the film, Aishwarya’s character Nandini plots the downfall of the Chola dynasty. The film’s promotions began recently with the release of two songs. At the launch of the song “Chola Chola” Mani Ratnam expressed his appreciativeness towards Baahubali and RRR director SS Rajamouli. He said, “In a way, he has opened a door for all of us and has shown us that this kind of film can be made. You can tell stories in two parts and be successful. It has become possible because of Baahubali, so I really want to thank him.”
