Yeh Hai Mohabbatein Fame Divyanka Tripathi finally reacts to rumours of being offered to play the role of Dayaben in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah!

In recent weeks there was a buzz that Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 contestant Divyanka Tripathi is all set to play the main character in the popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah .

As per the reports in the media, the actress was approached to step up into the shoes of Dayaben earlier played by the actress Disha Vakani. However in a recent interview, Divyanka refuted the rumours completely of being offered the role of Dayaben. She confirmed that there was no offer from the Tarak Mehta Team.

Divyanka told a leading daily, “That’s how rumours are, mostly baseless and non-factual. It’s a fabulous show with a great fan following but I don’t think I’ll be keen on doing it. I am looking for a fresh concept and new challenge.”

For the unversed it has been more than three years since Disha was seen as Dayaben on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah. She has been on indefinite maternity leave since 2017. There were rumours that she had finally said goodbye to the show, but still, no official confirmation has been made yet.

Meanwhile, Divyanka had recently had recently returned from her upcoming reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 11 in Cape Town. Divyanka shared some pictures from her shoot as well.

While Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah fans have been eagerly waiting for Disha Vakani aka Dayaben to make a return to the show, the producers don’t see it happening anytime soon.
