Women’s World Cup 2025 Kicks Off India vs Sri Lanka in Opener

The 13th ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup start today India and Sri Lanka face each other in the opening match at Barsapara Stadium Guwahati The match begins 3 PM IST with toss at 2:30.

India is led by Harmanpreet Kaur.
Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma will play key roles.
Sri Lanka comes under the captaincy of Chamari Athapaththu.
She said her team is ready to fight strong opponents on subcontinent pitches.
This World Cup will run from September 30 to November 2.
Eight teams are playing India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan.
The format is round robin
Each team will play all others once Top 4 qualify for semifinals. Final is on November 2. Matches are in 4 Indian cities Guwahati, Indore, Visakhapatnam, Navi Mumbai. Sri Lanka’s Colombo will also host games including Pakistan’s matches
