A person named Yogendra Rana has made an objectionable comment on Iqra Hasan, Samajwadi Party MP from Kairana Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh.
Yogendra made a video on 19 July and wrote in a post on social media, “Iqra Hasan is still unmarried, I am also no less beautiful than her, my house is also fine, there is no shortage of extra land, I have also asked my wife, if Iqra wants, she can marry me, I will give her the permission to offer namaz in my house, I accept marriage with Iqra Hasan”.
The controversy started after Yogendra Rana’s objectionable comment, although seeing the controversy growing, Yogendra Rana deleted this post, but now Moradabad district’s women lawyer Sunita has filed a report against Yogendra Rana in Kathghar police station.
She said that whatever Yogendra Rana has said about Kairana Parliament is indecent and against women’s dignity, so action should be taken against this person. His social media account should be blocked and he should also be arrested as soon as possible.
Now, even after the FIR has been lodged, Yogendra Rana is adamant on his statement. He says, I will not ask for forgiveness because when it is justified for Azam Khan to tell the colour of the colours of the female parliament, when boys make mistakes, it is justified to say this, then how does my marriage proposal become a crime.
Yogendra Rana is from Muradabad, has studied LLB, calls himself an advocate in his Facebook profile, according to media reports, he has a teacher and he also has 2 children. Rana is associated with RSS and also calls himself the national vice-chief of Karni Sena but after this statement of Yogendra, Karni Sena has distanced itself from his statement.
Karni Sena’s national chief Neeraj Singh Chauhan said in a conversation with media that Yogendra Rana has no connection with Karni Sena, no person by this name is in Karni Sena, his statement for the women parliament is insulting, he should be sent to jail for insult.
According to information, after the video went viral, Yogendra Rana has absconded after switching off his mobile. The police team is raiding possible locations in search of him.
