WhatsApp Inc. Is testing a new feature on its app, in which users are allowed to report the unwanted contacts, but they will now required to share recent chat messages with these accounts as a proof.

The latest android version of this app is 2.20.206.3, and beta testers should see the feature live.

The users will be able to report both general as well as the business accounts if they are spammed or bullied on the messaging platform, but only if the user has any evidence against the unwanted contacts. So if you choose to report the account, WhatsApp will send you a message which will say ‘Most recent messages from this user will be forwarded to the WhatsApp.’

According to the report by Wabetainfo, this latest feature of WhatsApp is only available for the android users. The report explains that if the messaging service will “elaborate your report considering several factors.” First, the Facebook- owned company will check that how many people have reported this account in concern. Then the number will be blacklisted by the company.

Currently, if you are receiving a message from an unknown number, WhatsApp asks if you would like to block, add or report this account. In this latest update, WhatsApp will ask you to submit a copy of messages from the chat to verify if the report is correct or not. This will help the messaging service to analyse the situation better and take action accordingly.

If we talk about groups, you get the option of exiting the chat and deleting it. If you want to report a particular individual, you can block the person and delete the chat.

This new update of WhatsApp will be available to iOS beta soon.
