According to the residents of Sarjpur, HSR, Whitefield and Hebbal, they heard a loud noise which they are suspecting to be of an earthquake.
There were doubts of matter that what exactly was this sound of and if there is any damage to life and property till scientists from Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Center (KSNDMC) started the process of detection.
Response from Air Force control room was awaited as there were speculations if this was a flight or supersonic sound, told the CP of Bangalore.
Soon later, the confirmations came from KSNDMC that it is not an earthquake. “the activity reported in Bengaluru is not due to an earthquake. The seismo meters did not capture any ground vibration as generally happens during a mild tremor. The activity is purely a loud unknown noise.”
“Earthquake activity will not be restricted to an area and will be widespread. We have checked our sensors and there is no earthquake activity recorded today,” said Srinivas Reddy, Director of KSNDMC.
