West Indies vs Pakistan ODI Series Begins — Pakistan Takes 1-0 Lead

After winning the T20I series 2-1, Pakistan started the ODI series with a classic win. In the first ODI match between Pakistan and West Indies, Pakistan won by 5 wickets. Hassan Nawaz was named the Player of the Match for his fabulous batting performance. Because of him, Pakistan chased the target with 7 balls to spare.

The West Indies team was all out for 280 runs in 49 overs. Three West Indies batsmen scored half-centuries — Evin Lewis scored 60 runs, captain Shai Hope made 55 runs, and Roston Chase scored 53 runs. Roston Chase also contributed with the ball, bowling 8 overs and taking 1 wicket.
For Pakistan, Hassan Nawaz was the highest run-scorer for the team, scoring 63 runs off 54 balls, including 5 boundaries and 3 sixes. Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan also played well, scoring 53 runs.
Pakistan’s bowlers performed very well in the match. Shaheen Afridi was the highest wicket-taker with 4 wickets in 8 overs, while Naseem Shah took 3 wickets in 8 overs. Because of their efforts, Pakistan successfully stopped the West Indies batters from reaching 300.
