NCW issued Notice To SSP Noida after journalist files complaint

Amid the investigation in progress against SSP Noida in viral video chat there is another question on the noida police. National Commision for Women (NCW) has issued a notice to Noida Police post after senior female journalist accused Noida Police for harassing her.

Whenever there is a dispute among common public, people have been found saying, i’ll lodge an FIR against you. Which means they find police as their first protection but if police is going to harass or threaten. Where’ll the public go?

Vivek Avasthi, senior journalist who has been keeping a close eye on matters related to Uttar Pradesh said, “let us not jump the gun by hastily declaring Gautam Budh Nagar police guilty of harassment. Let the complainant come out with some concrete evidence and strong motive behind harassment of the journalist and if proved and substantiated, Uttar Pradesh Police and government will take appropriate action against the erring cops. Let us first know what the exact complaint is”.

“Accused senior police officer along with people who posted him must be suspended from their job until the probe is going on,” Former DGP Vikram Singh Said in an audio.

In his defence SSP Noida has already proposed that “He has given details about a highly organised syndicate involved in the transfer-posting racket to the government last month. Once I brought the racket to the notice of the Chief Minister, the syndicate has been trying to corner me. Recently they circulated a morphed obscene video, editing my pictures in three video clips to malign my image.”

The SSP Noida’s explosive letter to CM, further reveals that another UP cadre IPS officer offered Rs 50 lakh for the post of SSP, Agra. For the post of SSP, Bareilly, the amount offered was Rs 40 lakh. Similarly, the rate for the post of SP, Bijnor, was Rs 30 lakh, as per the letter, reviewed. The syndicate run by a nexus of powerful bureaucrats and politicians also had a few journalists who played key roles in negotiating deals. All deals were brought to light when various phone conversations and messages were retrieved by the cyber team of the police.
