It’s also known as Make Music Day and ‘Fete de la Musique’ in French.
Due of the Covid-19 outbreak, there will be no public concerts to commemorate World Music Day this year.

In 1982, France was the first country to commemorate World Music Day. This event was approved by the Minister of Art and Culture, Jack Lange, as well as a well-known French composer named Maurice Fleuret. Every year on June 21, the day of the summer solstice, it is commemorated. The goal was to get people out on the streets and enjoy themselves while listening to music in any way they wanted.

“Music at the Intersections” is the subject of World Music Day 2021. The event’s other name is “Make Music Day,” which emphasises the importance of fostering one’s enthusiasm for music and freely sharing music with others.

it’s noted for inspiring aspiring, young, and established artists to perform. World Music Day is observed in over 120 countries, with free public concerts held in parks, stadiums, and other public spaces.
