TIGRESS GONE ON INTERNATIONAL TIGERS DAY??

TIGRESS MT-1 of Shivpuri’s Madhav Tiger Reserve disappears. The state forest department has no clue and said it doesn’t know. But an alleged poacher says he does. The poacher , named Saujiram Mongia , on camera , confessed that he killed the tigress by poisoning. This case seems like a wildlife crime . The State Tiger Strike Force , in an operation, caught a poaching gang , of which Saujiram was a member.

MT-1 was one of the monitored big cats in Shivpuri’s protected reserve fitted radio collar. Saujiram confessed after the police arrested another accused , Dauji Bhil. During interrogation Dauji accused Saujiram , his samdhi , as the one who poisoned the tigress. Whereas Sauji’s son , Jai Singh  Mongia said that his father is being dragged in a false case.

When Uttam Sharma , the Chief Forest Conservator of Madhav Tiger Reserve was questioned, he was clueless and said he didn’t know anything about STf action. In the operation, STF caught six accused , Dauji Bhil, Raja Bhil ,Sunita Bai , Baniram Bhil , Naresh Bhil and Raju Bhil. 225 wildlife organs , mostly bones , were seized.

Ajay Dubey , wildlife activist, claimed that the forest department knew about the poaching incident on June 4 but chose to hide it. His this serious allegation added fuel to the fire. BJP MLA Devendra Jain stated that MT-1 was hunted near Atal Sagar Dam under Narwar Tehsil.

The statements seems like a cover up and indicates that the reality of disappearance of MT-1 is being hidden.
