THRASHED OVER LATE DELIVERY

A zomato delivery boy was allegedly thrashed by two men in Shobha Theatre near  Bapuji nagar area in Bengaluru on September 14 as the food delivery was delayed. This altercation broke out when the food delivery was delayed due to some reasons by the boy and the men who ordered food got agitated and thrashed him when he arrived at the location. 

The men assaulted the delivery agent with the objects they found nearby. In the video, the delivery agent is seen still sitting on his bike, while the two men repeatedly thrashed him with items from the roadside, including a plastic can. This type of behavior portrays ungratefulness by the people towards the delivery agents who face difficulties while delivering the things . 

The incident has sparked conversations about the immense pressure delivery workers face in Bengaluru. With food apps offering 10-minute delivery promises, riders often struggle with traffic, rain, and delays at restaurants, putting them under tremendous stress.

Police said that they have recorded statements from both sides and registered a Non-Cognisable Report or NCR, as the delivery agent did not wish to file a formal complaint. But a counter report was filed by the other parties involved against the agent that he spoke rudely , used abusive language and behaved rashly.
