Team India becomes the first Asian country to win a series at Australian soil
India won the first ever series against Australia by 2-1 after the final test ended in a draw. The match was interrupted because of bad weather conditions. India scored 622 for 7 in their first innings but however,
India also won the first test in Adelaide by 31 runs and the third test in Melbourne by 137 runs. The match started by 10 am (local time) but the match had to be stopped by 2:30 (local time) when the rain interrupted the game.
On the first and second day of matches, the main top scoring players were Chateshwar Pujara(193runs) and Rishab Pant(159runs). India won the series by 2-1.
