Shaktimaan aka Mukesh Khanna rubbishes his death rumours, Says ‘I am fed up’

Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna on Tuesday refuted all the fake claims and rumours about his death due to Covid-19 that had started doing rounds on social media.
Mukesh Khanna who played the lead title role in ‘Shaktimaan’and reprised the unforgettable ‘Bhishma Pitamah’ was in shock as his phone had been constantly ringing with people enquiring about his well being.
The Shaktimaan actor Mukesh Khanna took to Facebook on Tuesday evening to quash rumours that suggested he was no more. The actor posted a video on Facebook saying he was ‘perfectly alright’.
Mukesh Khanna also hit out at those who had spread false rumours about him adding that ‘this is the problem with social media. The Mahabharat actor captioned the video, “With your blessings, I am completely healthy and safe. I don’t have Covid-19 and I was not admitted to any hospital. I don’t know who created this rumour and I don’t know what is the intention of those who spread such rumours. They tamper with people’s emotions with such false news.”
‘I am glad that I am perfectly fine and such a rumour about me was terrible. It causes stress on just me but my family as well he added, his voice rising in exasperation.
“What should be the treatment for such mentally unstable people? Who will punish their misdeeds? Enough is enough. Now it is too much. There should be a stop on such fake news,” he concluded
Mukesh also told a leading daily that he was “fed up” with such rumours. “I am fed up, literally fed up. I don’t know what to say or do to rumor-mongers who are out on such futile exercises which cause only fear, chaos, and anxiety. Almost all my friends and relatives have called by now and one fan said he was relieved as he just had a terrible thing in his life when his mother passed away 20 days ago. I feel WhatsApp will close down if such news does not emanate from it,” he said
For the unversed Mukesh Khanna gained fame with his Doordarshan Serial Shaktimaan. He also became a household name for playing the role of Bhishma Pitamah’ on BR Chopra’s serial ‘Mahabharat’.
