Sena Leader’s Son Allegedly Involved in Hit-and-Run: Speeding BMW Rams Bike, Drags Woman on Bonnet

According to police reports, the hit-and-run incident involved two individuals in the speeding BMW at the time of the collision. Following the accident, the car was seized by the authorities. One suspect has been detained, while efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the second individual who was in the vehicle.

A police officer noted that the car’s number plate was removed when it was brought to the police station, which may indicate an attempt to obscure the vehicle’s identity and hinder the investigation. Both legal and medical procedures are actively being pursued to ensure a comprehensive investigation.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed his deep sorrow over the tragic accident on July 7. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family, acknowledging the profound grief and shock caused by the incident. Shinde underscored the gravity of the situation, stating that such a tragedy should never have occurred.

In response, he has ordered a stringent and thorough investigation into the case. The Chief Minister assured the public that the investigation would be conducted with the utmost diligence and integrity. He emphasized that no leniency would be shown to the culprit, regardless of any social or political influence they may possess, reinforcing the government’s commitment to justice and accountability.
