Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 starts from 29 August

The wait for kabaddi fans is over. The 12th season of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) will begin from 29 August 2025 in Visakhapatnam. The first match will be a big South Indian derby between Telugu Titans and Tamil Thalaivas.
This season will have 12 teams, and they will play against each other in a double round-robin format. After the league stage, eight teams will qualify for the playoffs. The knockout stage has also got a new look this year. To make matches more exciting, organizers have decided that there will be no draws. If the score is level, then a five-raid shootout will happen. If still tied, a Golden Raid will decide the winner and if required even a toss will be used.
The matches will be played in different cities across India so fans from many places will get live action. All games will be shown on Star Sports and also live streamed on JioCinema in multiple languages.
Ahead of the season, some teams have already named their captains. Jaipur Pink Panthers announced Nitin Rawal as captain, while UP Yoddhas picked Sumit Sangwan.
With new rules bigger playoffs and strong rivalries PKL Season 12 promises non-stop thrill for kabaddi lovers.
