Priyanka Chopra Jonas participates in an online argument with NRI social media influencer
“Heads Of State” star Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently had an online spat with Social media influencer Pushpek Sidhu on Instagram. Pushpek had previously posted a reel where he commented on the food choices of Priyanka Chopra.
At the premiere of “Head Of State” starring Priyanka Chopra, Idris Elba and John Cena, Bollywood’s Desi girl was part of the “This or that” segment at the red carpet. She was asked to choose 1 between:
1. Empanadas vs. Samosas
2. Hot Dog vs Vada Pav
3. Enchiladas vs. Chicken Tikka Masala
Her responses were spontaneous and it mostly depends on her mood. The comments were all though positive and play-full in nature, The netizens however were not happy with her
food choices, a lot of comments were bashing her answers saying thing like “she is trying to be white”, “she is no more our Desi girl”, “she is such a wanna be”.
Pushpek Sidhu also jumped in and made a video reacting to it. In the video he aswell stated his disdain about Priyanka’s choice
The Quantico star however did not let it slide and reposted Pushpek’s video on her story
with the caption:
“Wow Bro! Didn’t know there was a syllabus for being desi. Its not that serious”
Pushpek also took his Instagram handle and decided to return serve to PC and said how his whole personality revolves around samosas and it is very serious to him. Stating
“l eat samosa, I breathe samosa, l sleep samosa.
My whole personality is samosa, in fact, my life revolves around samosa.
For me, it’s very serious”
PCJ is yet to respond, but this is not the first time, she has been engaged with critics and trolls online on several occasions, She previously responded on twitter with a candid, arm-up picture and the hashtags #WillTheRealArmpitPleaseStandUp and #Armpit-diaries poking fun at the fuss created when a cover photo that she posted on Instagram that sparked mockery over supposedly “too perfect” armpits.She also previously defended her outfit after being criticised for wearing a short dress when meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she replied in a bold move by posting a picture of her and her mother in similar outfits with the caption “Legs for Day…#itsthegenes” while she is busy with interviews and promoting her new movie.
