Police Lodged case on Sexual harassment & domestic violence against Mohammed shami

Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami was on Thursday charged with domestic violence and sexual harassment by the Kolkata police on the basis of his wife’s complaint. The charge-sheet was filed against the fast bowler nearly a year after his wife Hasin Jahan lodged a police complaint, leveling multiple charges against Shami and four of his family members.

As per the sources of the Police authority they haven’t filed the charge sheet against Shami regarding these allegations as they didn’t find anything wrong in this matter.  Though they are looking forward that Hasin get the maintenance money. On being asked about the matter Hasin’s lawyer Anirban Guha Thakurta said, “The police authority has filed two charge sheets against Shami and we are very happy with that. Though the police have rejected the allegations of rape attempt and we aren’t happy with that and we will file another petition.”

Though Shami wouldn’t face any problem in the forthcoming IPL & World Cup. His lawyer Selim Rahman said, “The police authority has rejected the allegations of rape attempt. They have filed charge sheets in other cases. His case will continue but Shami won’t have to come to the court and he can continue his game.

Shami already pay 80,000 rupees per month for his little daughter Airah. But Shami’s wife has demanded 10 lakh rupees per month as maintenance money. The next hearing may take place during the World Cup.

The fast bowler had recently been called up to the ODI team, where he showed good form against Australia and New Zealand, making him a strong contender for the World Cup squad which is due to be announced by April 23.

In March last year, the Bengal pacer was accused of domestic violence and extra-marital affairs by wife Hasin Jahan. The case was probe by the BCCI s Anti-Corruption officials after there were allegations that Shami took money from Pakistan contacts.
