PM Modi inaugurates virtual experiential museum in Varanasi

PM MODI INAUGURATES VIRTUAL EXPERIENTIAL MUSEUM IN VARANASI

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a Virtual Experiental Museum (VEM), a centrally-protected observatory at Man Mahal on Tuesday. VEM is under the Archeological Survey of India in Varanasi.

The VEM has been set up by the National Council of Science Museum (NCSM) working under the Ministry of Culture. It is situated on the banks of Ganga. Through VEM, the visitors will be able to experience Varanasi’s glory with 3D view.

The narrow lanes, ghats, monuments, classical music, the Ram Leela, weavers of sarees and many more will be seen in 3D view. The story of the descent of the holy Ganga on earth will also been shown to the people in an interesting manner.

Entry ticket for Indians, visitors from SAARC and BIMSTEC countries will be Rs 25 while visitors from other countries will have to pay Rs 300. While entry for children under the age of 15 years is free.
