Film Actor Mithun Chakraborty turns a year younger today. Mithun Chakraborty often loved being called Mithun Da has had a stellar career with a total tally of over 350 films spanning across Bollywood and three regional film Industries.

Mithun Chakraborty started his career in the late 1970s and became one of the most sought actors in the industry. Thanks to his ascending popularity he became quite popular in film circles on account of which he ended up having a couple of flings in rapid succession. Mithun worked with Sarika somewhere around the late 1970s and it is said that the young pair developed a certain real-life affinity. Mithun Chakraborty dates the actress Sarika and worked with her in various films, but eventually they broke up.

Mithun Chakraborty, then had a relationship with model-actress Helena Luke with whom he married in 1979 but they eventually parted ways after four months. It was believed that it was only a rebound for Helena as after her five-year-old relationship with Javed Khan had just ended. Helen even shared that Mithun would pester her from morning till evening trying to convince her that he was indeed her soul mate. The couple had a tumultuous marriage riddled with differences and daily guess eventually making them file for divorce. Although Helena later blamed the failed relationship on Mithun’s suspicious and miser-like behavior which irked her.

On the other hand Mithun Chakraborty never openly spoke about his first marriage and starting seeing the actress Yogeeta Bali, who was then espoused to the popular Bollywood playback singer Kishore Kumar. Mithun had started spending substantial time with actress Yogeeta who herself was having a troublesome time with her marriage. As soon as Yogeeta got a divorce from Kishore Kumar, the newly couple of Mithun and Yogeeta wasted no time and had a very formal marriage. The couple were having a stable Matt age and were blessed with three sons and a daughter in their marriage.

Everything seemed to have been going smooth until the year 1985 when actress Sridevi entered into Mithun Chakraborty’s life. In the early 1980s Mithun Chakraborty and Sri Devi became good of friends. Despite being married Mithun Chakraborty was rumoured to be developing a certain romantic affiliation towards Sridevi who was trying to make a mark in Bollywood. As time passed by, Mithun’s and Sridevi’s friendship reached a point of amorous affinity.

It is rumoured that Mithun was so enamored by Sridevi that there was a plan out for a secret marriage to her though he was still married to Yogeeta. It is alleged that Mithun lied to Sridevi that he had divorced Yogeeta. Yogeeta was unaware of the happening, and it is said that she only got to know about it sometime in 1987 when Boney Kapoor one of her close friends Mithun started getting closer to Sridevi.

Mithun got jealous of Sridevi and Boney’s affair and this strained the friendship of Boney and Mithun who stopped speaking to each other.It is said that Yogeeta was extremely disturbed by the news of Link up and the secret marriage between Sridevi and Mithun and had attempted suicide. But thankfully, in 1988, Sridevi herself came to know that Mithun was sailing in two boats at once and had never divorced Yogeeta. Sridevi immediately annulled her marriage with Mithun and the two filed for divorce which was granted immediately.

After the incident, Sridevi went on to have a full-fledged relationship with Boney Kapoor with Mithun somehow wowed Yogeeta back to his life again. Yogeeta and Mithun surprised everyone when Yogeeta gave birth to their third child after their reunion which confirmed their marriage was going steady.
