1.Bird flu cases confirmed in 6 states so far: govt

The Centre on Friday said bird flu has been confirmed so far in Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Gujarat, and asked these six states to contain the disease as per the action plan.

Unusual mortality of 16 birds has also been reported at DDA park Hastsal Village in the National capital, and samples have been sent to a testing lab.

“So far, the disease has been confirmed from six states (Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Gujarat).

A PIL has been filed in the Delhi High Court seeking removal of Amitabh Bachchan’s voice from the caller tune on precautions against coronavirus. “Mr Amitabh Bachchan…and his…family members became the patient of…Corona and he himself could not escape from the…disease,” the petition read. It added he doesn’t have a “clean history” and “he’s not serving…nation being a social worker”.

3. Actress radhika kumaraswamy appears before CCB in alleged cheating case

Sandalwood actor Radhika Kumaraswamy on Friday appeared before the Central Crime Branch in Bengaluru after investigation officials found monetary transactions between the actor and the prime accused in a cheating case. In December last year, the CCB had arrested 52-year-old Yuvaraj alias Swamy for allegedly posing as a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker and cheating government job aspirants of several lakh rupees. Radhika Kumaraswamy was summoned by the CCB, which found monetary transactions worth Rs 75 lakh between her and Yuvaraj. 

4. Amazon’s twitch blocks trump’s account indefinitely post capitol attack

Amazon-owned video streaming service Twitch announced it has disabled US President Donald Trump’s channel, indefinitely, in the light of the “shocking attack on the Capitol”. “We believe this is a necessary step to protect our community and prevent Twitch from being used to incite further violence,” it added. Twitch said it will reassess Trump’s account after he leaves office.
