  1. All schools under BMC Jurisdiction will be remain closed till December 31: Mumbai Mayor.

Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar said on Friday that all the schools under BMC jurisdiction would remain closed till December 31 2020.

“The decision has been taken in the wake of rise in COVID- 19 cases in Mumbai. Schools will not reopen on November 23,” She stated.

The Maharashtra government has earlier announced schools for classes 9 to 12 will reopen from November 23.

2. AG granted the contempt action against Kunal Kamra for his “middle finger for CJI” tweet.

Attorney General KK Venugopal has approved the request to contempt to court proceedings against the Indian comedian Kunal Kamra over his latest tweet on Chief Justice of India SA Bobde.

“One of these 2 fingers are for CJI Arvind Bobde… ok let me not confuse you its the middle one.” Kamra wrote in his tweet.

3. US will rejoin WHO, China has to play by the rules: Joe Biden.

US President elect Joe Biden on Thursday said that his administration will rejoin World Health Organization (WHO) on the first day after he comes in power.

He said that he will rejoin on only a condition if China “plays by the rules”. In July, Trump’s administration sent a one- year notice to quit WHO.

4. Azeri Army enters first territory ceded by Armenia after ceasefire.

Azarbaijan army troops entered the Aghdam region which is the territory of Armenian army in a cease fire agreement that ended six weeks of heavy fighting over the separatist region of Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry said.
