The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Saturday reported absolving tankers and containers conveying liquid medical oxygen (LMO) from toll fee at toll plaza across national highways.

Keeping in view the current demand for the medical oxygen across the nation  because of the COVID-19 pandemic, containers conveying liquid medical oxygen will be given priority with other crisis vehicles like ambulances for a time period of two months or till additional orders, NHAI said in an explanation. To  ease transportation of big tankers and containers conveying Liquid Medical Oxygen, the toll fee for such vehicles at  all toll plazas has been absolved, NHAI said.
